James Gerald Stine

U.S. Veteran

Mr. James Gerald "Jerry" Stine, age 78, of Lebanon, KY, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center. He was born on January 15, 1934 in Marion County, KY. Jerry was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a retired Barber, having worked in the business for forty-two years, an avid hunter and fisherman, and one who enjoyed life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George Carl and Mae Maude Thompson Stine; son, Carl Andrew Stine; brother, Bobby Stine; two half-sisters, Sr. Mary Dominic, Dorothy Wollen; two half-brothers, George Carl Stine, Jr, and Allen Stine.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Osborne Stine, of Lebanon, KY; five daughters, Vickie (Robert) Childers, of Calvary, KY, Terrie (Roger) Lee, of Lebanon, KY, Robyn (Kevin Benassi) Stine, of Waterloo, Iowa, Connie (Lancaster) Smith, of Lebanon, KY, Jeri (Marty) Hahn, of Lawrenceburg, KY; two brothers, John (Pat) Stine, of Louisville, KY, Tony (Gert) Stine, of Bakersfield, CA; sister, Peggy Stine, of Bardstown, KY; sister-in-law, Jane Stine, of Louisville, KY; two granddaughters, Hannah Lee and Kat Frank; three grandsons, Patrick Lee, Clayton and Simon Smith; two step-grandchildren, Crystal and Zane Hahn.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment will be in the St. Augustine Church Cemetery.

Visitations will be held after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home, with a prayer service Wednesday evening at 7:00 by Deacon Joe Dant.
